The best known classic canoe from Henry Rushton's shop was this solo canoe, the Wee Lassie. Just 10'x27", the originals, made of wood, of course, weighed only 22lbs or so. My skin-on-frame rendition weighs in at 17lbs, and has a slightly different look! Built of Alaskan Yellow Cedar, with steam bent Red Oak ribs, she is lashed together in the traditional style, but skinned with heavy duty transparent PVC in an assuredly non-traditional style.
